Fire Up Your Flow :: Niseko, Japan
Flowstate Adventures invites you to Fire Up Your Flow on a snowboarding / skiing & Yoga retreat in Niseko, Japan.
After the huge success of our 2015 adventure in Niseko, we are 100% certain of going back for more. Join us on a journey of outer and inner exploration in the powder capital of the world. Come and learn powerful methods to develop deeper relaxation, awareness and flow in every day life, whilst pushing progression on the mountain.
Unplug yourself from the hecticness of life and have a week of powder, Yoga, meditation, relaxation and fun that will fire up your performance and reveal your unlimited potential.
Snowboarding or skiing in Japan is mind-blowing. The mix of deep powder, friendly locals and cultural flair is like no other place on earth. The Japanese do things differently- they have done for thousands of years. And the result is the one of the most unique countries on earth.
Why have we chosen Niseko? Well, it just happens to have the highest snowfall of any place in Japan, averaging 14 meters of powder a year!
Who is this Adventure for?
Anyone who wants to reach their full potential- on the mountain and in life. If you love skiing and snowboarding and are curious about Yoga/meditation, come along! If you have no idea how to snowboard and ski, and don't know your downward dog from your inverted giraffe... but are prepared to get stuck in, we will get you stylin' down the mountain and on the mat in no time. You will get most out of this holiday if you are active and fit, but you do not need prior experience in any of the activities.
We are all staying together in a beautiful lodge. The focus is on exploration, adventure and community. If you want a serene, detox retreat with pampering, spa treatment and a little man popping grapes in your mouth while you soak in the bath... this is not the retreat for you. If you want to spend most of your time in privacy, this is not for you.
What will the vibe be like?
The vibe on this retreat is communal, playful and joy-based. If you want to meet an awesome crew, throw your energy and flavour in the stew, make new friends for life, share with them your miso, ramen and your rice, laugh until your belly hurts, snowboard until your legs don't work ..... WE WANT YOU! YES, YOU! (haha see what I did there?)
Strange magic happens when a bunch of open-minded strangers come together and pitch in for each other- they start to feel like family. So we quite deliberately avoid staying in fancy hotels and putting people in private rooms. That is not the Flowstate way. We attract awesome people, so rest assured you will meet people who will become life long friends. We create a fun environment and a culture of giving back to ourselves and to the group... with anything we have to offer: cooking, bad jokes, good jokes, games, foot-massages, chocolate, impromptu singing, cups of tea, bullet-proof coffee, fabulous company.
On some nights, when all feel like it, we will be feasting in the lodge, and when we do, we will create amazing energy and nourishing food. It is not about skills or ability... its about what happens when we give what we can. So if this sounds like your kind of thing... read on, the nitty gritty is below.
Where are we staying?
The best lodge in Niseko! We are so excited about the stunning pimped out lodge we are based in. Located right on the ski slopes opposite the Ace Family chairlift in exclusive Upper Hirafu Village—you cannot get any closer to the lifts than this! Featuring 450 square meters (4,650 square feet) on three floors, this is the largest and most cosy ski-in ski-out property in Niseko. The lodge sleeps 14 people, has a large Ski Room with direct access to the slopes, a Media Room with 55” cable TV and Bose surround sound, high speed WiFi broadband, and an extensive Library of books on Japan.
The house is decorated throughout with cool Japanese antiques and features a spacious Living and Dining area with vaulted ceiling, gourmet Kitchen, and large picture windows overlooking the ski slope. No one in the whole village is closer to the lifts than us. We can have our morning Yoga practice, eat breakfast, and keep an eye out for the lifts opening all from the window of the lounge.
It is a perfect base from which to explore the Niseko mountain, but we will also do a guided day trip to other nearby resort, such as like Moiwa, Kioro or Rusutsu, to ensure maximum adventure and deep untracked powder runs.
